ForestBody Important Updates!

Hi there,

We are in a powerful week! With the New Moon in Virgo coming up on Thursday, September 10th, we are steeping in that grounded sort of magic that I just love (and that we are all here for, yes?).

It's like, can we be realistic? I mean, seriously... can we stop all the bullshit stories that have us drifting in the realm of the airy fairy, and can we be present in this world in a way that is needed?

  • Can we take action where it matters?
  • Can we do so without all the excuses that delay what is ready to happen?

And, as we do, can we be realistic in a way that is open to the magic and the wildly amazing possibilities for what is here on Earth?!?!?

Because, let's be real.... there is so much more possibility than our minds tell us is possible. I mean it (and I'm speaking as someone who was once trained as a neuroscientist). Our minds can be so damn limited. They can so easily become programmed by the voices around us, and these voices (which become ingrained within the folds of our cortex) can just go on and on and on on repeat...

  • That's not possible
  • I'll never heal from this
  • I could never do that
  • Humanity could never be like that

Ugh. Let's cut that out. At the same time, let us reshape our minds to be open to the way that things can be - just as we open up to the very real actions we can take to make a difference - for ourselves, for our communities, and for the whole of Planet Earth.

Anyway... I'll be back in your inbox tomorrow to speak more to this powerful Virgo energy, but for today....

Aligned with the New Moon in Virgo, I am experiencing that need to further solidify our chapter turn

Virgo is all about grounding in that which is ready to manifest, and aligned with this energy I am deep in the grounding (and dissolving) the platform that holds The Embodied Path and all of the other beautiful work we do here together.

Last month, I dissolved Upward Slopes LLC, and while UpwardSlopes.com continues to serve, I continue to be hard at work creating our new space: ForestBody.com.

As we turn this page, you can expect to receive these emails from my updated email address: katie.forestbody@gmail.com. Make sure you keep a lookout for emails coming in the next few days so they don't end up in spam!

Have you checked out our new website ForestBody.com?

The ForestBody website is coming together, and I would love for you to check it out, and to share it with your community (if it resonates for you to do so!).

I began creating ForestBody.com as an updated version of UpwardSlopes.com about a year ago. I am allowing it to take its time, because, well, these are not just ideas on a page. They are spiritual teachings and connected practices that are held in a space that I hold with the utmost of care.

As I create this updated space, I am holding some powerful questions:

  • What are the fundamental challenges humanity is facing, and what needs to shift so that we can move through them with skill and grace?
  • What are the fundamental challenges that each individual is facing, and what am I equipped to teach in regard to healing, awakening, and expansion?
  • What actual practices can help us to align with these ideas (not just think about them as we accumulate knowledge, but embody them as we become the change)

These answers keeps getting clearer, my friends, and so much of it comes down to the skillful way relate within and without.

This is why we are here in the realm of mind, body, and earth embodiment.

Em-bodiment - present-centered, conscious connection to the whole of who you are (most notably, body included, as part of this Earth).

Embodiment is You, in connection to your whole Self, in connection to the greater whole that is the whole web of life on this Earth.

Here, you get to immerse yourself in a space that rejects those self-centered ascension paths. Mind-over-matter, spirit-over-body, human-over-nature.... ugh, we are so done with that!

We are here to know ourselves as the embodied, Earthy beings that we are, and to know this as sacred as we find all the joy and meaning and fulfillment here. Right here.

Stop trying to transcend this so that you can find what you need. Find it here. Because there is so much here that will guide you to it.

"It is important to spend time in meditation while present and centered in your head. Calling in stillness as you seek quiet and clarity there is lovely. Just, don’t stop at your head! Make sure to also find time to meditate with your whole body.

Just as traditional meditation brings your full attention and awareness to the mind, you can bring that same attention and awareness into your body: your limbs, your chest, your heart, your lungs, your abdomen, your womb, and beyond. Explore each part of yourself with conscious connection, and then rest in conscious connection to your wholeness.

For the path to liberation does not exist through pure ascension alone. We must also descend. We must also know oneness with body, as part of our our greater Whole."

Big love,

Katie

Hi there, How are we all doing? Hanging in there? Paying attention? Doing your best not to get pulled down in the dark series of atrocities that is current reality? Over here, I find life to be a constant tug-of-war: What do I pay attention to? What actually needs my attention? But also, when do I need to give myself space from it all? Because, between trying to make enough money to survive in a world that is getting more and more expensive, I am also basking in some of life's greatest of...

"A holistic spirituality is one that works within self, and with self in connection to the world beyond. It is not selfish, just as it is not selfless." When I set out to create The Embodied Path, I realized what we need is a clear set of foundational practices for becoming grounded, centered, and aligned beings who are skillfully discerning our way through life. In other words, I was asking myself, "What are the sort of spiritual 'bread and butter' practices that are essential for becoming...
